Are you looking to bring together community partners, local farmers, and school district leaders to strengthen your school meal programming? F2SBC is well equipped to support you in planning and facilitating community conversations that:

• Build more sustainable community-supported school food programs.
• Nourish partnerships with local farmers, food producers, Indigenous food leaders, non-profit organizations, and volunteers.
• Improve access and procurement of fresh, local, and culturally relevant foods.

We have recently facilitated five community conversations that drew in more than 200 attendees to explore school food planning at every level. Topics have included:

✔ Procurement and distribution strategies,
✔ Local food aggregation and transportation,
✔ Partnership development with community,
✔ District-to-district collaboration,
✔ Food literacy and student involvement,
✔ Opportunities to strengthen regional food systems.

Events can take many forms, from full-day conferences and strategic planning sessions to smaller after-school gatherings where culinary arts students prepare and serve meals. Each event is tailored to the goals, needs, and strengths of your community.
