We can’t wait to see what you’ve cooked up! All eligible recipes that meet the criteria will be featured in The Great B.C. School Food Cook-Off cookbook and entered for a chance to win a $1,000 prize. Five winners will be chosen—one from each health region!

Upload Guidelines
- File Upload Limits
- Maximum file size: 290 MB per upload.
- Maximum number of files: 20 per upload.
- If your files exceed these limits, please submit the form in multiple parts.
- File Naming Requirements
- Ensure your photo file names match your recipe file for clarity.
- Use this naming format: School Name_Recipe Name_BCCookOff
(Example: VancouverSecondary_TomatoSoup_BCCookOff)
- File Formats
- Recipes should be uploaded as Word Documents.
- Photos should be in JPEG or PNG format to ensure compatibility.
- Photo Quality
- Submit clear, high-resolution photos that showcase your dish (no faces).
- Include at least one plated photo for presentation.
- Please see examples of photos in this example recipe submission.
Photo Guidelines

Lighting
Use natural or indirect lighting where possible to give the components of the dish enough contrast.

Presentation
Best results would be neatly plated, garnished, and using white or neutral cookware.
- Angles
Most importantly get a direct overhead shot of each dish, and it would be helpful to get a second from a slight angle if it complements the dish. (I’ll attach a couple examples of the angled shots)
- Cropping
Get close to the dish for the best quality, but do not crop out the plate or bowl as we’ll do custom cropping later when editing.
