F2S Vancouver Area Network Meeting
October 19, 2016 @ 3:45 pm - 4:45 pmFree
Join the Farm to School Vancouver Area (F2SVA) Network for its inaugural Monthly Webinar Meeting!
This is a networking event for educators and school community members interested in creating change towards more healthy, local school food systems or for people wanting to learn more and become involved with Farm to School type programs.
This month’s webinar meeting will feature Rosalind Sadowski of Fresh Roots along with Chef Training/Culinary Arts and ACE IT instructor Lee Green of David Thompson Secondary School. These two F2S leaders will present an overview of F2S activities taking place at David Thompson and answer questions about their experiences setting up and running Farm to School programming in the Vancouver context (30 minutes).
Following this presentation, Nikoo Boroumand of Society Promoting Environmental Conservation (SPEC) will facilitate an open discussion on the theme of “F2S in the Curriculum”. Join us to share ideas on how to integrate F2S into the new BC Curriculum with fellow educators and school community members from across Vancouver, the North Shore, and Richmond (30 minutes).
RSVP required — please click here to register.
This meeting will begin promptly at 3:45PM — we recommend signing into Zoom webinar platform a few minutes early to initiate the login process. We look forward to seeing you there!
